Join Me in Speaking Out Against Patient Abuse in a State-Run Facility

November 2, 2017

One case of patient abuse is one too many.

State lawmakers and I have called for a full investigation into the patient abuse scandal at Whiting Forensics Division at Connecticut Valley Hospital:

On Monday, Nov. 13, the Public Health Committee will hold a 1 P.M. Public Hearing in Room 2C of the Legislative Office Building in Hartford.

This Public Hearing will focus on the systematic breakdown of management that has led to patient abuse and I encourage anyone with information to come forward and speak out!

Here’s how you can speak out:

  • Email your brief comments to [email protected] no later than 4:00 P.M. on    Wednesday, November 8th your comments may be as brief as you like
  • Copy me at [email protected]
  • Share this information with others and encourage them to speak out

All public hearing testimony, written and verbal, is public information.

There is also an anonymous tip line at the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services to report any issues of concern: this anonymous phone number is 877-277-9471.
