April 20, 2016

Sen. Tony Hwang (center) recently visited the Easton Volunteer Fire Company’s Open House to help raise community awareness about the need for volunteers.

Established in 1921, the Company has been serving the citizens of Easton for nearly a century. Today, it stands ready to protect and assist in the face of fire, flooding, hazardous materials, or other modern disasters.

Sen. Hwang commended Chief Steve Waugh and the entire Company on their efforts to enhance the recruitment and retention of volunteer firefighters.

“These volunteers are heroes and they are recruiting future heroes to protect our communities,” Sen. Hwang said.
