CT GOP’s Sampson/Harding Statement on Bridgeport Democratic Operative Being Fired Over AB Scandal
November 1, 2024Sen. Rob Sampson, Ranking Senator on the Government Administration and Elections Committee, and Sen. Minority Leader Stephen Harding released the following statement in response to a prominent Bridgeport Democratic political operative being fired from a municipal job over an absentee ballot scandal.
“We don’t like to see anyone lose their job.
But in this instance, we saw the videos. We all saw the videos. The nation saw the videos.
Ballot stuffing.
Repeatedly.
Republicans at the State Capitol repeatedly offered several election integrity reforms to address this fiasco. Majority Democrats had no appetite.
So, here we are.
Unless the people take action, absolutely nothing will change under one-party Democrat rule in Connecticut, even with video evidence of fraud.”
