CT GOP Statement on Investigation Revealing Apparent Errors in Certified CT Election Results from 2016 and 2020
November 25, 2024For Immediate Release
Sen. Rob Sampson and Sen. Stephen Harding today issued the following statement regarding a CT Insider investigation which revealed apparent data errors in certified election result in Connecticut from 2016 and 2020.
“Connecticut voters need to have confidence that election results are accurate. The discrepancies revealed by this review do not inspire confidence.
This revelation comes in the wake of frustrating vote count controversies just seen in Torrington, Mansfield and North Stonington.
Connecticut Republicans have been shouting from the rooftops about election integrity for years. Our common sense ideas have repeatedly been dismissed by majority Democrats at the State Capitol.
Republicans will continue to work to pass reforms which restore confidence in the system and keep errors to a bare minimum.”
