“Read Across the Valley Day” at Elizabeth Shelton Elementary School
April 29, 2019State Senator Kevin Kelly (R-21) joined volunteers throughout the Valley on Thursday April 25, 2019 for the annual “Read Across the Valley Day” hosted by the Valley Early Childhood Regional Council (VECRC).

“Reading is a key to success throughout life. Early literacy is so important to give our children the tools they need to learn, to grow, and to thrive. I want to thank everyone who came together in the Valley to celebrate and inspire a love of reading.”
The VECRC sponsors this yearly event to coincide with The Week of the Young Child in April. The mission of the Valley Early Childhood Regional Council (VECRC) is to coordinate and promote early care and education throughout the Valley region by engaging families to ensure that all children enter school ready to learn and succeed.
