Free Summer Meals for Kids and Teens
July 18, 2018By: Senator John A. Kissel
The 2018 Summer Lunch Program locations have been announced. These summer meals are free and nutritious meals and snacks that are provided to kids and teens, 18 years of age and younger. The meals are provided in our communities throughout the summer months while school is out.
These summer meals meet federal nutrition guidelines and are comprised of milk, fruit, vegetables, grains, and meats and other proteins. This is a federal assisted meal program – no paperwork, no registration and no identification is required.

While there are many good programs for students throughout the school year, kids still need good, nutritious food when school isn’t in session. I am thrilled that we have these locations in North-Central Connecticut to make sure children in need have access to meals. New locations are announced each day so make sure to check the website at www.endhungerct.org or call 860-569-2100 for more information.
