Hartford-The Connecticut Marine Trades Association (CMTA) has recognized Senator Clark Chapin (R-30) for outstanding leadership in promoting safe and responsible boating legislation.

Chapin, who serves as the ranking Republican on the Environment Committee, has long championed sound environmental policies.

“We are delighted to provide Senator Chapin with our legislative leadership award. He has been a strong advocate for recreational uses of Connecticut’s many lakes and rivers, and we look forward to working with him in the future,” said John Johnson, legislative chair of the organization.

“I am honored to receive this award,” said Senator Chapin. “The 30th District has some of the best boating opportunities in the state and I’m grateful that CMTA recognizes that I have been a leader on issues important to both the marine trades industry as well as those I serve. It continues to be a priority for me to ensure that future generations can safely enjoy Connecticut’s natural resources.”
