About Clark
State Senator Clark Chapin was elected to his first term in the State Senate in November 2012 and represents residents in the 30th Senate District. The 30th District includes the communities of Brookfield, Canaan, Cornwall, Goshen, Kent, Litchfield, Morris, New Milford, North Canaan, Salisbury, Sharon, Torrington, Warren and Winchester.
Senator Chapin serves as Deputy Minority Leader of the Senate Republican Caucus, and is a Chair of the Regulation Review Committee. In addition, he is a Ranking Member of the Environment Committee and serves on the Appropriations Committee.
Senator Chapin has been the recipient of numerous legislative awards, many of which recognize his commitment to the environment, agriculture, animals, boating, and the interests of the small towns he represents.
Senator Chapin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science and Technology from the University of Rhode Island and a Master of Science degree in Community Development from Iowa State University. He has been a self-employed carpenter in New Milford since 1988.
Senator Chapin is married to Patricia Murphy and together they have four children.
