New Milford – State Senator Clark Chapin (R-30) and State Representative Cecilia Buck-Taylor (R-67) held legislative office hours to meet with constituents and provide an update at the New Milford Public Library on Thursday, January 10th.

“As newly-elected legislators, Cecilia and I feel it is certainly appropriate to take this opportunity to discuss the hard work that awaits us in the General Assembly over the next several months,” said Senator Chapin. “With the start of the new legislative session, we can make positive changes to state government, and your input is a valuable resource for legislators during this time.”

“Being able to meet with the voters of New Milford in an informal forum like this is can only assist me in Hartford as your new State Representative,” said Representative Buck-Taylor. “We have some tough decisions ahead of us in the legislature and being able to meet and exchange ideas will give me the best tools to make the right decisions in Hartford. I know that working together we can make a positive difference and I am looking forward to continuing this type of community outreach.”

The event was an opportunity for constituents to meet with their newly elected legislators and discuss the 2013 legislative session, including the state budget, municipal aid, school security and other issues.
