Did you know that Enfield Loaves and Fishes served more than 140,000 meals last year? Without the help of state or federal funding, nearly half of the meals served were to children in Enfield and surrounding communities. That is why it is so important to help our neighbors in need, especially during their April fund assistance drive.

Enfield Loaves and Fishes is a local area soup kitchen providing hospitality to all those in need by offering meals, aid and companionship at no charge. Loaves and Fishes is a nonprofit, volunteer program that was incorporated in 1982 and is located in the St. Andrew’s Church Hall at 28 Prospect Street in Enfield. They are staffed almost exclusively by volunteers from the community and operate under the guidance of a Director and volunteer Board of Directors.

Loaves and Fishes is open seven days a week, serving hot meals at 4 p.m. Sunday through Friday and Saturday, at 11 a.m.

All of the good work that Enfield Loaves and Fishes does would not be possible without the leadership of Priscilla Brayson and volunteers and supporters throughout the community.

Anyone interested in making a financial contribution are asked to send checks to Enfield Loaves and Fishes Inc., P.O. Box 544, Enfield, CT 06083. Donations can also be made through PayPal or their website – www.enfieldloavesandfishes.com .
