Spent the morning at Griswold High School teaching a civics class and discussing the legislative process, current issues facing Connecticut, and the importance of staying involved in your community.
We had some great conversations and debates throughout the class, and the students came prepared with thoughtful questions and strong opinions on a wide range of topics. It was a really enjoyable morning and a reminder of how important these discussions are.

Spent the day back at Stone Acres Farm celebrating the incredible work of Yellow Farmhouse Education Center and their commitment to connecting students with food, farming, and culinary education.
We toured the kelp farm and compost areas, tasted kelp pesto pasta and lilac cookies, and learned more about their new USDA Patrick Leahy Farm to School Grant supporting the Farm to Culinary Classroom Initiative.
It is exciting to see students gaining hands-on experience in sustainable agriculture, cooking, and future career pathways across Connecticut and into Rhode Island.
