Today, Governor Lamont signed S.B. 1, the so-called “Budget Adjustment Bill,” into law and praised Democrats for spending even more of YOUR money.

What he conveniently left out is that this budget increases state spending by nearly 9% and burns through billions in surplus dollars that should have been returned to Connecticut taxpayers. Republicans offered an amendment to reduce spending in taxes by the same amount. The Democrats are raising it! But of course, that amendment failed on a party line vote.

Families are struggling with affordability. Residents are drowning under rising costs. And Democrats responded with bigger government, more spending, and more bureaucracy.
