🚜Great news for the 30th District and Northwest Connecticut! Three organizations in our communities are receiving Connecticut Department of Agriculture Agricultural Enhancement Grants.

The Arethusa Farm Foundation in Litchfield is receiving $25,000 for farm camp equipment and infrastructure to support youth agricultural education.

The Community Agricultural Kitchen in New Milford is receiving $42,030 to expand their work connecting community and agriculture.

Partners Sustainable Healthy Communities is receiving $27,000 for facility improvements at the NWCT Food Hub in Torrington, strengthening food safety and distribution in our region.

These grants provide matching funds to municipalities and agricultural nonprofits for projects that expand agricultural activity and support long-term viability. That’s exactly the kind of investment our communities need.

Congratulations to all three recipients. Connecticut agriculture is stronger because of the work you do!
