Sen. Harding supporting increased CT government transparency and accountability

Sen. Stephen Harding is supporting  “A Better Way to an Accountable Connecticut”, a set of legislative proposals aimed at increasing government transparency.

Harding, who represents Bethlehem, Brookfield, Canaan, Cornwall, Goshen, Kent, Litchfield, Morris, New Fairfield, New Milford, North Canaan, Salisbury, Sharon, Sherman, Torrington, Warren, Washington, and Winchester, said the policy proposals will “inject transparency and light into state government.”

In recent years, Connecticut has received record numbers of funds from the federal government.

“The people should have confidence that resources are being put towards Connecticut’s most pressing infrastructure needs, address climate initiatives, and appropriately advance transportation for the future,” Harding said. “The sacrifices of the taxpayers must be respected.”
