Sen. Champagne Celebrates First-Ever Community Day at the Pequot Museum

In recognition of National Native American Heritage Month, Senator Champagne joined fellow legislators and staff for the first-ever Pequot Museum Community Day at the museum’s location in Mashantucket on November 9. At the event, he met with Pequot Tribal Council members and citizens to learn more about Connecticut’s Native American history and culture.

The museum’s mission is to further knowledge and understanding of the richness and diversity of the indigenous cultures and societies of the United States and Canada.
