State Sen. Ryan Fazio Joins Coffee for Good to Raise Awareness on World Autism Day and Volunteer Month

GREENWICH, CONNECTICUT – In honor of World Autism Awareness Day and Volunteer Month, State Senator Ryan Fazio (R-Greenwich) visited Coffee for Good, a local nonprofit in Greenwich dedicated to empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through employment training.
Sen. Fazio, a long-time supporter of Coffee for Good, rolled up his sleeves and learned the fundamentals of coffee-making and customer service from trainees May and Will.
“I love Coffee for Good and all its wonderful trainees! It’s inspiring to see the dedication and skills the individuals are building at this local business. These young people bring so much to our community, and I’m so glad Coffee for Good exists in our town to help them build skills and thrive in the workforce. Supporting organizations like theirs is crucial for creating a community and world where everyone can succeed no matter their intellectual or developmental abilities,” said Sen. Fazio
Deb Rogan, Executive Director said, “Coffee for Good was delighted to host our CT State Senator Ryan Fazio this morning, normally a customer, today in celebration of World Autism Awareness Day, he rolled up his sleeves and tied on an apron to learn from our trainees May and Will, they taught him how to operate our customer check out and the basics of being a barista. Ryan has been supportive of the Coffee for Good mission since we opened in 2021 and believes in the importance of a diverse workforce.”
Coffee for Good is a local business in Greenwich with a training platform for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
