For Immediate Release

“Very concerning. Job losses equate to economic stagnation.

And as working families and small businesses in Connecticut struggle mightily with the burdens of taxes and electricity bills, do you really think it will ever get better under one-party rule?

At the State Capitol, majority Democrats want to hike taxes and even create new ones, like a mileage tax and a delivery tax on every package you receive. They want to dismantle the bipartisan fiscal guardrails, which will lead to even higher taxes. They’re pushing anti-business bills, such as having taxpayers pay workers who go on strike.

Meanwhile, Senate Republicans continue focusing on making Connecticut a more affordable place to live and work. Our Grassroots Connecticut Senate Republican Tour will criss-cross the state and highlight our solutions to addressing the cost of living crisis. Lower taxes. Lower energy bills. Fiscal discipline.

Connecticut is on the wrong track, but it doesn’t have to be this way.”
