CT Senate GOP Statement on 192 MPH Motorcyclist
April 11, 2025

Sen. Tony Hwang, Sen. Paul Cicarella, Sen. Jeff Gordon and Sen. Stephen Harding today issued the following statement regarding Connecticut State Police announcing the arrest of a motorcyclist who built an online following under a pseudonym by posting to social media dozens of videos of himself speeding well above 150 mph, including 192 mph, on CT highways. “192 miles per hour? We commend the Connecticut State Police for their diligence.
Our Connecticut highways are the ‘Wild Wild West’.
We must support our state police in their efforts to apprehend those who threaten the safety of other motorists.
This example, like street takeovers, is an issue which we cannot be complacent about.
We must proactively pass bipartisan legislation to crack down on this highly dangerous activity.
If we don’t, preventable tragedies will occur.”
