CT Senate GOP Condemns Arson Attack on PA Gov’s Home

On behalf of the CT Senate Republican Caucus, Sen. Stephen Harding issued the following statement regarding the arson attack on Governor Josh Shapiro’s official residence in Harrisburg, PA, that burned a portion of his home.

“Connecticut Senate Republicans condemn this violence in the strongest of terms. It is disgusting and disgraceful.

We are relieved that the governor and his family were safely evacuated by Pennsylvania state police, that no one was injured in the arson attack and that the fire was successfully extinguished.

People must be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law for any property damage, threats and violence. There must be zero tolerance for it.”
