“Alarming.” Sens. Kissel & Harding Statement on Disability Rights CT Report

Sen. John A. Kissel, Ranking Senator on the Judiciary Committee, and Sen. Stephen Harding today issued the following comment regarding a report (https://www.disrightsct.org/inmate-death-investigation) issued by Disability Rights Connecticut which found that two nurses and a lieutenant at the Bridgeport Correctional Center violated state law by failing to provide cpr or other emergency measures for an inmate with ALS, and then falsified infirmary logs to make it seem as though they had checked on him.

“The report is highly concerning.

Its findings are alarming.

DOC must address them with full transparency and accountability as soon as possible.”
