CT GOP Senators: “Is CT paying attention? Well-done, Massachusetts.”

Sen. Rob Sampson, Sen. Eric Berthel, and Sen. Stephen Harding issued the following statement regarding Massachusetts law enforcement honoring a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detainer request for a Brazilian illegal alien accused of rape.
“Is Connecticut paying attention?
We hope so.
This is an example for Connecticut to learn from and follow in order to make our neighborhoods safer.
The District Court in Massachusetts honored the ICE immigration detainer and allowed law enforcement officers to take custody of the accused rapist in the safety of a jail cell rather than having to arrest him at large. This procedure prioritizes public safety.
The violent illegal alien offender was arrested and removed from the community and handed over to ICE. Well done, Massachusetts.”
