Eric Berthel and Kevin Kelly, Connecticut Foodshare Board of Directors member Themis Klarides, President and CEO Jason Jakubowski, and Seymour Oxford Food Bank Director Kristina Walton on Nov. 17 hosted a turkey drive to bring Thanksgiving to local families in need, along with other nonperishable food donations, at Quarry Walk in Oxford. In all, community members donated 412 pounds of turkey and another 352 pounds of nonperishable food items, enabling the Seymour Oxford Food Bank to distribute 637 meals to the community. The legislators will host another food drive during the holiday season on Dec. 13 in Seymour at Stop & Shop from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
