CT Senate GOP Presses for Investigation Into Apparent “Marriage Fraud on a Wide Scale”

The Connecticut Senate Republican Caucus is continuing to raise concerns regarding an organized effort to bring non-citizens to marry Americans at City Halls and Town Halls in several municipalities around the state.

“It sure looks like marriage fraud on a wide scale in Connecticut. So? Where are Connecticut’s top elected Democrats? No comment from them? Do they find this concerning at all?

Connecticut’s Attorney General says this appears to involve alleged violations of criminal and immigration law. Ok, so will the Chief State’s Attorney investigate? Republicans certainly urge him to do so.

It’s a simple question that Republicans will keep asking:

Is illegal immigration activity occurring daily – and repeatedly – in New Haven, Bridgeport and elsewhere…..or not?”
