SHELTON – Shelton state lawmakers on Monday, Sep. 23 will host a Senior Health and Wellness Fair at the Shelton Senior Center.

The event, which runs from 9:30 a.m. to noon, will connect seniors with resources and information on issues such as mental health care, identity theft resources, veterans’ services, probate estates, substance abuse services, and local transportation services. On-site flu vaccinations and health screenings will be available.

“It is always great to see so many organizations attend this event to provide important health and wellness resources to the community,” said Sen. Kevin Kelly. “We appreciate all those who participate by providing information, conducting screenings, and administering vaccinations to our local seniors.”

“We want to make sure our local seniors receive the information and care they deserve,” said Rep. Jason Perillo. “A special thanks to the staff at the Shelton Senior Center for providing these resources to area residents.”

“This event is always a big success,” said Rep. Ben McGorty. “It’s a great way for community members to meet with the Senior Center team and discuss ways to keep themselves and their families well.”

The Senior Center is located at 81 Wheeler Street.
