Sen. Kelly Statement on Disaster Declaration Approval

Sen. Kevin Kelly today issued the following statement regarding President Biden approving a major disaster declaration due to the historic rainfall and extreme flooding that impacted communities in the region on Aug. 18.

“Towns like Seymour and Monroe have been devastated by this disaster. The resiliency, compassion and toughness of these communities has been inspiring to witness. We will continue to stand together in this recovery period, and we will continue to help our neighbors in need. I thank the governor for his diligence in expediting aid to our region, and I thank the President for approving this disaster declaration.”
