CT Senate GOP Statement on Shots Fired at Trump Golf Club: “Violence has no place in politics.”

Sen. Minority Leader Stephen Harding and the Connecticut Senate Republican Caucus today issued the following statement regarding reports that shots fired at Trump International Golf Club were intended for former President Donald Trump.

“It is a relief to know that former President Trump is safe. This is yet another sad day for our country. This is yet another day which could have been far more tragic. We again thank God it wasn’t. Violence has no place in politics. We know that all our colleagues in the State Senate will join us in condemning yet another sickening and cowardly act. Thank you to the Secret Service and first responders for their quick action. God Bless America.”
