CT GOP Senators on CBIA “Opportunity” Report: “Republicans are listening.”

Sen. Tony Hwang, Sen, Ryan Fazio, Sen. Jeff Gordon and Sen. Minority Leader Stephen Harding today issued the following statement regarding the release of the CBIA Foundation for Growth and Economic Opportunity’s “Opportunity Connecticut” report.

“This roadmap to make our state more competitive is much appreciated. The opportunities to grow this economy are many. Many of these common sense recommendations would ease permitting and regulatory burdens and not cost overburdened taxpayers a penny to implement. To make Connecticut more affordable for employers and their employees, Republicans continue to offer solutions to lower the cost of electricity. Republicans continue to push for a special session to pass reforms that provide overburdened ratepayers with relief. We also continue to speak out for the bipartisan Association Health Plan legislation which Democrat leadership blocks year after year. Republicans are listening to the very legitimate and very real concerns of state businesses and working class families.”
