September 5, 2024For Immediate Release
Sen. Tony Hwang, Sen, Ryan Fazio, Sen. Lisa Seminara, Sen. Jeff Gordon and Sen. Stephen Harding today issued the following statement regarding a survey of Connecticut’s job creators which shows business expansions at a standstill and one-third of business leaders believe the state’s high cost of living is the main factor hampering growth.
“We must listen to our job creators, and we must act. To make Connecticut more affordable for employers and their employees, Republicans continue to offer solutions to lower the cost of electricity. Republicans continue to push for a special session to pass reforms that provide overburdened ratepayers with relief. We also continue to speak out for the bipartisan Association Health Plan legislation which Democrat leadership blocks year after year. Republicans are listening to the very legitimate and very real concerns of state businesses and working class families.”
