Sens. Fazio, Somers, Harding Statement on CT Offshore Wind Delay

Sen. Ryan Fazio, Ranking Senator on the Energy and Technology Committee, Sen. Heather Somers (R-Groton), and Sen. Stephen Harding, Ranking Senator on the Environment Committee issued the following statement regarding the announcement that the completion of the Revolution Wind project will be delayed a year because of contamination at the site where an onshore transformer is being built in Quonset Point, Rhode Island.

“This Connecticut energy production setback highlights the urgency for us as Connecticut lawmakers to act. There is no reason why we can’t meet in special session as soon as possible to find bipartisan solutions to help address rising electricity costs.”
