Sen. Somers & Harding: “The lack of a response from DEEP raises questions.”

Sen. Stephen Harding, Ranking Senator on the Environment Committee, and Sen. Heather Somers issued the following statement regarding the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) apparently ignoring the State Contracting Standards Board by not responding to the board’s statutorily required audit requests over the last ten months.

“These contracts involve millions of Connecticut taxpayers’ dollars. The lack of a response from DEEP raises questions which need answers. Republicans will continue to press for greater transparency throughout our state government.”
