Sen. Seminara on Increase in CT Homelessness: “Focus must be on prioritizing vital resources.”

Sen. Lisa Seminara, Ranking Senator on the Human Services Committee, the Aging Committee and the Committee on Children, today issued the following statement regarding the number of people experiencing homelessness in Connecticut increasing for the third straight year.

“Homelessness touches all of our communities and impacts people of all ages. This is a human crisis. The situation is dire, and it is getting more and more urgent. As lawmakers, our mutual focus must be on prevention and prioritizing vital resources. This is a bipartisan effort to save lives and prevent tragedies while making Connecticut more affordable for everyone. We must show that we are up to this considerable challenge.”
