Sen. Berthel Receives Perfect Score for Pro-Business Voting Record

July 23, 2024

Recognized for 100 percent pro-business voting record by CBIA in

2024 Legislative Session Report

HARTFORD – Chief Deputy Senate Republican Leader Eric Berthel (R-Watertown) has been recognized by the Connecticut Business and Industry Association (CBIA) for his 100 percent pro-jobs voting record on key bills that CBIA identified as critical to growing jobs in Connecticut.

“It’s an honor to again receive a perfect score from CBIA for support of our business community. I continue to listen to the numerous small and large businesses in our district, and bring their voice to the Capitol. Their operating costs continue to soar, largely in part to bad policy in Connecticut. I’ll continue to support and introduce bills that limit government interference and enable businesses to grow and ultimately create good-paying jobs. We must make Connecticut a more affordable and prosperous state for working- and middle-class families,” said Sen. Berthel.

CBIA identified key bills from the 2024 legislative session that make up the framework for a legislator’s voting record. Legislators were scored based on their opposition or support for these measures relative to the business community’s positions.
