“We are fighting for our nonprofits here at the State Capitol and we thank the governor for approving these funds,” Sen. Seminara said. “Our nonprofits provide such vital, valuable and effective services for our most vulnerable residents, yet they have been underfunded for years. Last year, I was proud to help lead the bipartisan push for a long-overdue increase in funding for nonprofits, but the needs remain significant. I know, because I hear from nonprofit organizations on a daily basis. This must be a priority for us here in Hartford, and I will continue to be a strong advocate for our nonprofits. Congratulations to these awardees.”
