Sen. Seminara highlights Avon-based women-owned biz which serves up premier racquet sports equipment

AVON – To commemorate Women’s History Month, Sen. Lisa Seminara on Mar. 26 visited Valley Racquet co-owner Cristina Walters.

Walters, who co-owns Valley Racquet with Sara Linsley, discussed their motivation for starting the business, which is located at 412 West Avon Road. As avid tennis players with 25 years of racquet sports experience, they realized the Farmington Valley was in need of a tennis shop. And not just a tennis shop, but one with the latest equipment and apparel. So in 2015, they happily opened Valley Racquet.

Seminara thanked Walters and Linsley for their entrepreneurship and urged the public to put Valley Racquet on their to-visit lists.
