Sens. Harding & Martin statement on CT jobs report: “Prioritize pro-growth policies.”
March 8, 2024For Immediate Release
Senate Republican Leader Stephen Harding and Sen. Henri Martin, Ranking Senator on the Finance, Revenue and Bonding Committee today issued the following statement regarding the finalized year-end report on jobs and employment levels in Connecticut for 2023.
“This report is a reminder that we must preserve the common sense fiscal guardrails which have stabilized the state’s finances and allowed for the paying down of debt. It’s also a reminder that Democrat-backed policy mandates crush job growth and decimate people’s personal finances. Those mandates make our energy bills unaffordable, and policy proposals like the Democrats’ anti-choice electric vehicle mandate must be prevented from becoming reality. We must prioritize pro-growth, pro-consumer policies.”
