GOP Senators on DCF suit: Lawmakers must “fix what is broken.”

Sen. Lisa Seminara, the Ranking Senator on the Committee on Children who represents Harwinton, Sen. Henri Martin, who represents Harwinton, and Senate Republican Leader Stephen Harding issued the following statement regarding the recently filed lawsuit alleging that a 14-year-old girl was repeatedly sexually assaulted at a now-shuttered group home in Harwinton.

“As DCF continues to work with providers to deliver services, we as lawmakers must discuss how to make state government more accountable to these children, how do we get to the root of the problem and how do we fix what is broken?”
