No. 1 Chief Dan Carr on Jan. 8 to commemorate the department’s 90 years of service to the community at its annual meeting at Station 145. To recognize the milestone and to thank the department members and auxiliary, Sen. Gordon and Rep. Vail presented the department with a citation from the General Assembly that recognized its selfless service, bravery, and dedication, ensuring the safety and security of Stafford residents and the mutual aid it provides to others. The Stafford-area lawmakers both serve on the legislature’s Public Safety and Security Committee, and are strong supporters of those who serve in their towns’ fire/emergency medical services.
