Sen. Kelly: $ for STEM Academy will prepare Monroe students for workforce

Senate Republican Leader Kevin Kelly, who represents Monroe and serves on the Higher Education and Employment Advancement Committee, issued the following statement about the new Monroe Public Schools STEM Academy Lab:

“The skills that students will learn at this lab will serve them well in their educational advancement and throughout their lives.  We are focused on building our future workforce and filling current and future skilled jobs. Emphasizing STEM skills in Monroe and throughout our state will get more and more young people interested and active in fields and industries where well-paying careers await them. This is a team effort at the local, state and federal levels that I am honored to be a part of.”
