Sen. Hwang, Easton EMS Chief Applaud State $
to help Easton Volunteer EMS Replace Septic System

EASTON – Sen. Tony Hwang is applauding the State Bond Commission’s Dec. 15 approval of $396,000 for the town of Easton to replace the septic system at the Easton Volunteer Emergency Medical Services (EMS) facility.

“This is very good news for Easton,” Sen. Hwang said. “Upgrading the town’s EMS facility is a multi-step process, and these state funds are appreciated. Improvements to the Easton Volunteer EMS will support efforts that will save lives. I thank the governor for his attention to Easton’s needs.   I will continue to work collaboratively with local and state officials as well as listen to our first responders in order to improve the quality of life for all Easton residents.”

“This is a tremendous commitment from the state that is going to kickstart this project,” Easton EMS Chief Jonathan Arnold said. “This begins the process of transforming a more than 100-year old building into a state-of-the-art facility. This transformation will improve response times and save lives. We are grateful that this has been an ongoing community-wide effort with support from local, state and federal officials.”
