Sen. Gordon Moderates Cancer Prevention Policy Forum
at Yale School of Medicine
New Haven – Sen. Jeff Gordon on Nov. 30 moderated a statewide forum at Yale University School of Medicine hosted by the American Cancer Society’s Cancer Action Network. The symposium focused on the future of lung cancer prevention, screenings and treatment.
“As a medical doctor and a member of the legislature’s Public Health Committee, I was pleased to join with health care professionals and industry stakeholders to discuss policies that can eliminate barriers to patients accessing lung cancer screening and early detection,” Sen. Gordon said. “Forums like these can help save lives, and as a ‘doctor-senator’, I take what I learn at important gatherings like these and share that information with my colleagues at the State Capitol. I urge residents to visit www.fightcancer.org to get more information, and I am always open to your ideas for policies which expand access to health care.”
