Sen. Seminara Congratulates Area Arts
Organizations on $$$ Awards
Sen. Lisa Seminara today congratulated organizations in the 8th Senate District on being awarded state funding in support of the arts.
From Avon:
- Farmington Valley Arts Center $6,196
- Fermata Arts Organization Inc. $3,638
- New England Ballet Theatre of Connecticut $4,837
From Canton:
- Connecticut Valley Symphony Orchestra $4,013
From Simsbury:
- Simsbury Performing Arts Center $5,463
- Theatre Guild of Simsbury $3,263
“This funding will help our area arts organizations with operating expenses and allow the grantees the ability to use the funds where they are most needed,” Sen. Seminara said. “The arts unite us, they create jobs, they boost local tourism and they improve our quality of life. Congratulations to all these groups!”
