Senator Fazio Receives Perfect Score on CBIA’s Annual Legislative Scorecard

Demonstrating Unwavering Commitment to Connecticut’s Economy

HARTFORD, CT – State Senator Ryan Fazio (R-Greenwich) is proud to have received a 100% pro-economic growth record on CBIA’s annual legislative scorecard. This scorecard evaluated key votes on ten pivotal bills, specifically chosen for their potential impact on Connecticut’s economy and overall business climate.

Senator Fazio said, “Our state’s economy relies on the success of our small businesses. They create jobs, generate revenue, and foster a sense of community. It is imperative that we do everything possible to create fertile ground for both job creators and workers. By bringing real reform to Connecticut’s economic policy, we could finally ensure economic growth and opportunity for all in our state.”

Chris DiPentima, CBIA president and CEO, thanked lawmakers who led and supported critical small business tax relief and healthcare initiatives. Those legislators went above and beyond in their support for small businesses and we are very appreciative of their efforts,” DiPentima said. “However, it’s clear that we need more small business champions in the legislature. Small businesses are the heart and soul of our economy and deserve greater support so they can survive, compete, and grow.”

Senator Fazio highlighted the need for bipartisan work, stating, “Supporting small businesses and workers should not be a partisan issue. It requires collaboration and cooperation from legislators across party lines. By working together, we can champion the needs of small businesses and their workers and ensure their voices are heard in the legislature.”
