CT lawmakers applaud $$
for Colebrook road & parking lot improvements
COLEBROOK – Colebrook state lawmakers are applauding the release of $418,479 in state funding to for road improvements and parking lot reconstruction. This will be matched by $104,619 in town funds.
“As state lawmakers, we are focused on improving public safety as well as infrastructure,” Sen. Lisa Seminara said. “From local parking lots to necessary roadwork, this funding will address pressing needs in Colebrook. These are long-term investments in the town to ensure that those who live in and do business in town can travel safely.”
“This investment will be critical to helping Colebrook complete much-needed municipal parking upgrades and additional roadway repairs so that local motorists, visitors, and first responders are able to travel safely through our community,” Rep. Jay Case said.
The grant is provided through the Small Town Economic Assistance Program (STEAP), a state program managed by the Office of Policy and Management (OPM) that delivers grants to small towns for economic development, community conservation, and quality-of-life capital projects.
