Senator Sampson speaks against a last-minute Democrat effort to completely alter a bill, originally intended to protect public servants in positions where there may be significant controversy (Dept. of Correction, Criminal Justice, Firefighters, State Marshals, Dept. of Children & Family Services, etc.) from having personnel matters disclosed through FOI. The Democrat strike-all amendment creates a wide-open door and extends this FOI exemption to all government employees.
