March marks Women’s History Month! The month is set aside to honor women’s contribution in American history. As we celebrate here at the Capitol, I am highlighting non-profits owned and operated by women throughout the 8th District! I’m excited to share their stories and look forward to supporting them not just this month but EVERY month!

Friendly Hands Food Bank, Inc. is operated by Executive Director, Karen Thomas! Friendly hands is the largest food bank in NWCT and has been fighting food insecurity for over 30 years, serving over 34,000 meals a month!
