NEW CANAAN — As town officials wrestle with proposals that would create new affordable housing, Republican lawmakers Monday morning were in town touting a package of policy proposals that some housing advocates say would limit the reach of one of the state’s foremost affordable housing laws.
The proposals — unveiled by Deputy House Republican Leader Tom O’Dea, R-125, and State Sen. Ryan Fazio, R-36 — center around three bills that would alter the law known as 8-30g.
