Sen. Somers applauds DMV Commissioner appointment announcement

Sen. Heather Somers, R-18th District, Ranking Senator on the Transportation Committee, today applauded the governor’s future appointment of Antonio “Tony” Guerrera as commissioner of the Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV).

“I have always found Tony Guerrera to be accessible and forthright,” Sen. Somers said. “Tony has a business background and extensive experience in government. He is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and he enjoys solving complex problems. I am confident Tony will do a good job as commissioner and continue the progress DMV has made.”

Sen. Somers also commended retiring DMV Commissioner Sibongile “Bongi” Magubane for her service.
