CT Wartime Service Medal Ceremony Honors Veterans in Seymour

September 29, 2022

Over 50 veterans were honored this week and presented with Connecticut Veterans’ Wartime Service Medals at Seymour Middle School.

Senator Eric Berthel, Representative Nicole Klarides-Ditria and myself were honored to be joined by American Legion Post 10 Commander Mike Kearney, First Selectwoman Annmarie Drugonis, Boy Scouts Troop 11, and Reverend Thomas Cieslikowski of St. Nicholas Parish.

We were also joined by Department of Veterans Affairs Commissioner Tom Saadi who worked with us to organize this event and recognize our local heroes.

The Connecticut Veterans’ Wartime Service Medal was established by Governor M. Jodi Rell and the Connecticut General Assembly in 2005 as a way to recognize the service of our state’s veterans.
