Colebrook, CT – State Senator Kevin Witkos (R-Canton) was on hand to help cut the ribbon at a new cabin at YMCA Camp Jewell located in Colebrook.  The cabin was recently completed and will soon house campers and staff for the summer camping season.

“I have many fond memories of being a chaperone at Camp Jewell for my own kids and their classmates when they were students at Canton Intermediate School and I know just how special Camp Jewell is to so many families across our region.  I was excited to have been a part of this special day and I know that countless campers will build great memories here for years to come” said Senator Witkos.

YMCA Camp Jewell is located in Colebrook and expects to host upwards of 1100 overnight campers and 200 day campers from across the world during the summer season.  The camp hosts a traditional overnight camp, a ranch camp, leadership programs, and a day camp.
