Anniversary Celebration Kicks off Friday, May 20 at 5:00 PM

STRATFORD – State Senator Kevin Kelly (R-Stratford) recognizes and celebrates VFW Post 9460’s 75th anniversary in Stratford, a milestone that will be celebrated at a special anniversary event on Friday, May 20th at 5:00 PM.

“On Friday VFW Post 9460 will officially celebrate 75 years in Stratford, serving veterans and advocating for those who have served our nation and their families,” said Sen. Kelly. “Connecticut’s veterans must always be recognized and honored for the sacrifices they and their loved ones have made on behalf of our great nation. The VFW strives to build a strong community for our veterans and ensure every veteran has support, a voice, a friend, and an advocate in their corner. I cannot thank VFW Post 9460 enough for all they do for veterans in Stratford. Thank you to Commander Steve Evangelista and countless volunteers who have worked together to support generations of veterans and their families right here at home. Congratulations on this milestone and thank you for your continued service and support for all who have served and sacrificed.”

The Veterans of Foreign Wars organization fosters camaraderie among United States veterans of overseas conflicts and works to advocate on behalf of all veterans.

The public is invited to join in Friday’s anniversary celebration. Tickets are limited and can be purchased for $25 by calling 203-377-9112. For inquiries about the event please contact Post 9460 Commander Evangelista at [email protected].
